6 Places On My Travel Bucketlist

Hey guys! How are you? I’m great at the moment, it may soon be the end of March already but we all have a whole year in front of us and literally all I want to do is plan as many fun things as possible that I can look forward to!! And recently we’ve been discussing where to travel next which have made me get hung up on searching for some awesome travel destinations to visit! And I thought I would share with you what places I find to be very interesting. Btw, I took the photo above on the plane back home from South Africa. Tried to recreate one of those nice ones you can find on Pinterest, and I actually think it looks pretty good! Okey that’s it I think, Let’s jump right into it!

KENYA

God, I think Kenya look so cool!! The main reason I would like to go to Kenya is because of Safari! I’ve already been on Safari one time in Namibia in Etosha National Park, but that one was more of a “drive yourself and don’t go out of the Jeep” Safari. It was really amazing and we saw so much animals, I totally recommend Nambia for everyone who likes exploring very unique and intresting countries in Africa, just saying. But that makes me want to do the ‘actual’ Safari. Where you drive out in a group together with a guide and camp in the savanna. It would be unreal. I would also LOVE to stay at this giraffe manor they have somewhere in Nairobi! The place just seems amazing, the giraffes are literally just outside your window! The only thing that I feel is a bit negative about Kenya is that I’ve heard that it can be quite criminally at some places… but you know I love South Africa and they’re on the top list of most murders in the world. I can’t say one time I’ve felt unsafe in Cape Town, so I guess it could be the same about Kenya? Maybe it’s all about where you choose to be? Don’t rely on what I’m saying, because I actually have no clue.

CALIFORNIA, USA

I have seen many places but I still got The States to cross of my list. I would love to take a road trip to different places in America. I definitely want to visit California and especially Santa Barbara, it looks really nice there. I feel like I’m always surrounded by American stuff like in tv shows, social media, blogging etc. Literally all I know about the States is things that I’ve seen online or heard. But I would say I know quite a lot..? It kinda feels like I’ve been in America since I know so much about it, it would be cool to see it in real life though. Other places I’d like to see in the states are definitely The big apple, New York and Arizona to see Grand Canyon! I’ve seen people going with helicopter through Grand Canyon and that would really be such a amazing experience.

TULUM, MEXICO

I’ve looked into Tulum for quite sometime now and I really think it would be a dream destination. I’ve seen all these photos of Tulum all over internet (it seems like it’s gotten really popular) and it just makes me wanna hop on a plane right now. No, but Tulum really looks like a paradise. I read somewhere that Tulum is not as touristy as other places, it’s not all hard to find sea turtles in their natural habitat there and the Mexican food in Tulum is apparently to die for. Who wouldn’t like some tacos and guacamole on the beach, huh? I know I would!

HAWAII

Hawaii’s been on my list for a really long time, like since they started broadcasting Lilo & Stitch on Disney Channel LOL. It seems like such a paradise island with such a stunning nature. I would love to just cruise around, hiking and surfing! When I’m 18 this is the first location I’ll be traveling to with my best friends, for sure. Hawaii is also a destination I’d like to experience from the helicopter view as well.

JAPAN

I think both the Chinese and Japanese cultures are really interesting and stand out a bit. If you have been reading my blog for a while you’ll know that I visited Hong Kong in 2018 for the first time. You probably cannot compare Japan with Hong Kong since HK is one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities where the eastern culture meets the west. But I really liked exploring Hong Kong and especially to discover all these old temples and their traditions. I would love to see more of the eastern Asian cultures and visiting Japan around spring to see all of the blooming cherry trees!

COSTA RICA

Costa Rica is like on the top 3 on my list of destinations I want to visit. I have actually never even thought of Costa Rica that much before but from all the pictures people post on instagram and in blogs it looks really beautiful. The main reason I want to travel to Costa Rica is to surf hahah. And also because I’ve been told that the sunsets in Costa Rica is absolutely magical, and you know I’m a sucker for sunsets!! If you’ve been to Costa Rica I would love to hear your opinion on it!

Which places do you have on your travel bucket list? Any dream destination? Or are you visiting any interesting country soon? Tell me all about it in the comments down below!

    1. I love all your choices! You seem to have a thing for paradise-esque destinations but I don’t blame you anyway 😂 Which traveler doesn’t. Also don’t be put off going to certain countries cos of fear of a lack safety. Yes safety as a traveller is very important but with research into where exactly is the safest areas in countries to visit and where to avoid, plus taking needed safety precautions no harm should come to you.

      1. Hahahah yeah these paradise-esque destinations are some of the few places I haven’t seen yet and that’s probably why I’m most curious of them at the moment. I also think it’s exciting to travel to a place that is so well talked about and make up your own mind and opinions on the place! But that can also be hard since some of these places are very touristy, which is really not my kind of thing.
Oh yes, I know. As I said I haven’t done any research yet on Kenya’s safety but I’m certain that a lack of safety wouldn’t put me off either way. I would say that if I really want something I can be very good on making it happen. But I totally agree with you! :)) When me and my family first visited SA everyone thought we were crazy for traveling to such a unsafe country, but it has all to do with which areas you choose to be in.
        Thank you for reading, Johnny!

    1. Yeah, New York and Kenya are both really high up on my list. Two very different places though but that’s like the thing, I want to experience as many different cultures and places as possible haha :)) As I’ve said so many times (you readers must be tired of me talking about it all the time) I know you’ll love South Africa!

    1. Oh yes, seeing giraffes in real life is so cool! I saw like probably 20 giraffes in the bushes beside our Jeep in Etosha, Namibia! You have? Lucky you! Thank you for reading.

  5. I’d love to visit Costa Rica, Mexico and Africa! My top travel places would be Ireland, UK and the majority of Europe right now.

I’ve been to SF and Japan last year. Japan, I’d love to go back asap! It’s one of the best countries for travelling and their city is just sooo convenience and futuristic. Unfortunately, San Fran I didn’t enjoy too much but I still recommend visiting once in a lifetime!
