Hi, hello, what’s up!? In Today’s blogpost I’m going to state my best blog advice for every beginner out there. To start with I’m not a very experienced blogger myself, I have soon been blogging for 2 years but I wanna say that I know quite a lot of stuff that you have to know about blogging this far and I think I have some useful advice that I had liked to hear when I first started. So let’s get in to it shall we?
Connect is the key!
By connecting with other bloggers you’ll gain some followers and people who genuinely likes your blog and what you’re doing. I can completely recommend starting a twitter account to your blog since that’s literally where the whole blogging community takes place. My traffic blew up once I finally started my account. By connecting with other bloggers you can both learn a lot and share a lot of important things. You can develop new friends and start collaborating with other platforms. By connecting and talking to a lot of people on social media you’ll get seen and people will start noticing your blog as well. This is probably one of the absolute best advice I have for you.
Step up your photography skills
A photograph speaks more than a million words. The photography in a blogpost is often what makes the audience interested in the first place. Well, that and the headline. I’ll come to that later. And you don’t have to have the best equipment to take appealing photos. I for example take like 90% of my photos with my iPhone 6 and I get so much comments on my photography. Which both gets me flattered and a bit shocked since my iPhone is one of the a bit older models. Learn to use vsco filters (or any other filters that look clean and nice) in a good way and you’re photos will look like they came straight out of Pinterest.
Find a nice and clean blog theme!
This is one of the topics that really bugs me when you visit someone’s blog. The blog pitch and idea is great but it all falls on the layout, such a SHAME. It’s just a bit annoying when you really like the content from a blogger but you simply can’t find yourself around anywhere on their website because everything’s so messy. You know when you don’t even have a head photo on the posts to attract the audience or when the colors of the site is just wrong, wrong, wrong, So my advice for you who just started your blog and are sitting scrolling trough the bloglayouts looking for the best one, choose the most clean one with white, black or grey color schemes. You want the eye of the reader to attract to the colors of your photos instead of the layout. This is just a advice if you want your blog to look more professional and clean. You do exactly your way and don’t feel like you have to follow any norms if you don’t want to. It’s all about what kind of taste you have.
Write headlines that gets the clicks
This is a very hard one. It isn’t always easy to make your audience feel the need to click their way into a blogpost. It has to touch them in a personal way. You have to think like the reader. I guess that you yourself as a blogger reads other peoples blogposts or maybe magazines or websites etc.? What is it that makes your fingers itch and just have to press their way into a post or article because you have a desire to know what happens next or what information you’ll get out of reading whatever you’re about to read? My advice is to always think, will people find this headline intriguing and interesting? Is the topic I’m writing about popular in the big audience? But I don’t mean that you always should write about topics that’s hot or trendy right know. NO, then you have totally misunderstood me. Write in a way that makes you proud of your work and if you can make a great headline that’s a big plus. But you should also know that the content have to live up to the readers expectations after they’ve read the awesome headline. It’s sounds like hard work? No, it doesn’t have to be. If you have fun writing and genuinely put love into your work, I think you can come a long way. But also yes, its hard work if you want the big clicks. And who doesn’t?! How much work do you want to put down to your blog?
Collaborating then, how?
Also a tricky one. Getting collaborations as a new blogger with a small audience is really hard, which is a shame really. It takes time until companies get in touch with you and start noticing your platform. My advice is to make them see you, if there’s a company you really want to collaborate with, reach out to them! Let them know what you have to offer and how you can promote their brand. Just simply send an email, asking if they would be interested.
I hope you found some of my advice useful, if so let me know in the comments. Also if you have any questions that you’d like me to answer, comment those as well. Will as usual, respond to all your comments.
Have a great day!!
